Less than the coal plant was. The loudest part is the turbine hall, which is enclosed, and the site is quieter at the fence than the A4226 road.

Yes. The plant holds about two grams of fuel at a time, cannot run away, and is regulated like a hospital's radiation facilities. Our safety case is public.

Most heavy parts, including the magnets, arrive by sea at the old coal jetty. Peak road traffic is about a third of what the coal plant generated.

We have committed to 40 % of construction jobs and 60 % of permanent roles going to people living within 30 km, with a paid apprenticeship scheme starting in 2026.

Yes. The visitor centre opens in 2027. Until then we run a monthly open evening in Barry.
